The Science Communication Project


Our Mission:

To create a world where science literacy is the norm and not the exception by creating a new path to science education, where people will gain the skills necessary to be effective science communicators in the modern world. To be inclusive of underrepresented groups in science, including women, minorities, artists, writers, entertainers, and every intelligent and creative mind, and furthermore, to create science content by, and that speaks to diverse groups of people. Lastly to enhance the value and number of science literate people among public policy makers, public organizations, and private industry.

Areas of focus:

1. Web Content: 

Create and maintain an online portal to existing and new free educational content relative to science communication.

2. Creative Development: 

Work with students and partners to discover and create new content that speaks to underrepresented groups in science. 

Innovate with new ideas and ways to better adapt the project to reach it’s goals.

3. Public Outreach: 

Monitoring , lobbying, and participating in the political process for scientific issues and scientific interest.

Outreach to public organizations such as universities and researchers.


Outreach to private industry.
